Chicken Tile

17.5″ x 12″ Glazed one-of-a-kind Tile. Most of my career was spent in oil painting until clay grabbed a hold of me and wouldn’t let go… Now I paint with glass on clay.. by applying layers of glaze in several repeat glaze fires .. a depth of color, crystal formation and texture is built up that just makes my heart sing to look at it…   If you would like this tile mounted with a french cleat to make it easy to hang on a wall please check the box to include that in your price. This is highly recommended for tiles bigger than 12″ x12″

Mounted & French Cleated

A French cleat is a way of securing a cabinet, mirror, artwork or other object to a wall. It is a molding with a 30–45 degree slope used to hang cabinets or other objects. The wall side of a French cleat can be mounted securely without having to hold the full weight of the cabinet while securing it. The cleat will not be seen later, so it does not matter where it is drilled; this means that it can be screwed into wall studs relatively independent of the lateral position of the cabinet.
